100 pleats in 100 days : day 18. Staring at the window, staring at the sea.

Hello lovely readers!

Here we have the Capitaine hair grip, for a hasty “on the run” French pleat. Mine is the “tortoiseshell” option, although I really was torn between that and the “silver shell” option.

Today is a day for a deep conditioning hair treatment, using mayo. (See my original post about this here.)

Have a great Friday everyone!

100 pleats in 100 days : day 17. Yellow is just my cup of tea!

Today is Thursday, and I think it’s time for a little shot of sunshine yellow. How about this hair roll, using a Stonebridge hair comb, with a sunny yellow backdrop?

It really goes well with this beautiful Sicilian yellow cup, also from Stonebridge, as part of their new range. Bone china cup, from the “Life” range at Stonebridge. Just my cup of Rosie Lee!

100 pleats in 100 days – day 3. Swing when you’re winning.

Day 3 – #stonebridgehair #100pleats

This is a vertical pleat, using the same comb as yesterday. Actually, you know, I’m so pleased that Stonebridge suggested this “100 pleats in 100 days ” challenge, since it was something I was sort of doing anyway. You see, last time I had my haircut, I mentioned the cost to Dr Experimentsinstyle.  He was slightly taken aback, and suggested investing in some great hair clips and foregoing future haircuts as a money saving exercise. So I have been mostly wearing my hair up most days anyway. Just not taking pics everyday. So that’s something new. Dr Experimentsinstyle was absolutely no help in assisting with the photo taking again today, deciding to mess about on a garden swing instead. We will have to have a chat tommorow about his attitude, I think. It’s frankly very unprofessional.

Holographic nail varnish

Yup, I love holographic nail varnish. And this is just gorgeous. A real depth of colour. It’s Vesuvius by Cirque. It always needs a clear coat, otherwise it is too matt and it isn’t as long wearing as your average nail varnish. A clear topcoat really brings out the sparkles. But even with a topcoat, it doesn’t last that long before wearing at the edges. But I love it so, I will forgive it that. Cheers me up every time I look at it. It is a strawberry red with a holographic finish. And less than a tenner for a bottle of such fabulousness. I like it so much, I painted some on my door key. (Which didn’t really work out that well, tbh. So I wouldn’t recommend you bother with that) I bought it a while ago from this fabulous site :

sadly now sold out. But this Cirque Mink shade in a brown with holographic finish looks like it might also be worth a spin for a more wintery look. http://www.sallymagpies.co.uk/ourshop/prod_3018455-Mink.html
How about you? Have you a favourite nail varnish?
